Droplets from the sky

"Rain, rain, go away!!" , say all. "Rain, rain, shower us with joy forever!!", say I.

The little droplets from heaven allay the thirst of all beings. Needless to say, rain is a major benefactor in life.
Or in more apt words, rain helps embrace the sheer joy of living.
The scent of moist soil, the pattering of tiny drops against the pavements, the splashing of water into puddles, and the opening up of the skies to pour out all its joys - what more pleasure can anything give a person?

For less dramatic people, I am going to explain what exactly would happen if it stopped raining on Earth.
First of all, most wild vegetation and forests would die. There would be no water cycle, and hence, no balance in the amount of water that can be used by human beings for their own purposes. Next, with most plants dying all around the world, the animals would die too. And so would we. The Earth would collapse due to total imbalance and chaos in the food chain. End of story. No more to be said.

And for people like me, who just love rain ( and naturally, dancing and playing soccer in it, too ), I would like to quote Kahlil Gibran, who wrote personifying rain :

          When I cry the hills laugh;
            When I humble myself, the flowers rejoice;
             When I bow, all things are elated.
